As members of the Menlo Park Live Oak Lions Club, I Care offers support for those in our community who are in need of financial assistance for their eye care needs, including examinations and eye glasses.  Some referrals for our financial aid program come through our preschool screenings.  Other recipients are referrals from local community service organizations.  If a referral qualifies for our assistance, a Lions Club sponsorship letter is prepared and presented to a local eye care provider. 

Each year I Care/Lions Club supports many local residents with the eye care they need that they may not otherwise be able to afford.  The result is students who are better able to learn and interact at school and adults who can go back to work because of their improved vision.  The joy they experience is literally seen in their eyes when they put on their new pair of glasses.
